We may be back from our Labor Day weekends but summer is in no way over. Not only has this Tuesday set temperatures for hottest day of the year so far in Boston, but even our solar projects are also cranking at record rates. While higher temperatures don't help production per se (in fact it can be the opposite), the abundant sun has meant that Charlton Solar, for example, will have met 40% of its expected output for the month by the end of the day. On the whole, our network operations center (NOC) reports that the 35+ MW solar fleet of over 60 projects that it monitors across the Northeast will be at about 35% of expected production tonight.
Not a bad way to come back from vacation.
